Giorgio Belloni (Codogno 1861 – Mezzegra 1944), The serene returns
Oil on canvas 67 x 126 cm signed lower left, on the back the title of the work and the artist’s signature.
Provenance: Treviso private collection
It is an autographed replica of the famous painting “Back to the serene”, currently exhibited in the Revoltella Museum in Trieste.
The work is distinguished by the “poetic” atmosphere that characterizes it; as well as for the soft colors of a season that enters on tiptoe, where shadows and lights fade, leaving distant glows on the horizon for an early night.
